Mission of the Bareville Ladies Auxiliary

The Bareville Ladies Auxiliary was founded in June 1952. Today, we have approximately 20 members. We are currently looking for new members.

The mission of the Bareville Ladies Auxiliary is to provide the Bareville Fire Company and other firemen with drinks and food at large fire scenes and to help support them financially.

The Auxiliary raises money in several ways
  • A food trailer that travels to auctions.
  • An all-you-can-eat breakfast on the first Saturday of each month from November through  May.
  • Chicken Corn Soup sales at our breakfasts.
  • Annual dinners for the public.

The profits we earn are used to pay the auxiliary expenses and are donated to support the Bareville Fire Company.

Quilting History of the
Bareville Ladies Auxiliary

In 1976, the ladies in Leola and surrounding communities started gathering to make quilts. The first two quilts were "A Broken Star" and "Around the World."

In 1984, 35 quilts were donated to quilt. There were many ladies who came from Leola, Narvon, Reinholds, New Holland, Ephrata, Goodville, and Ronks.

This was the attendance at the Quilting Days in 1984.
